Life is a process of 'becoming'

Life is a process of ‘becoming,’ a combination of
states we have to go through.
Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state
and remain in it. This is a kind of death.

Great quote.

I've got to use it on my manager :-)

Of course, there is the risk that someone will see that Anais Nin wrote it and will thus give it an erotic charge.

How close are you and your manager, mumon?

Not as close as we should be.

I got sent to a management course & realized that he's that kind of manager - highly, highly process-oriented, anally retentive and linear, whilst, well, I've been working on Mu for something like 15 years or so.

Needless to say, he thinks I'm full of crap because my responses to him always nonlinear, and I have to fight my tendency to think he's a colorless, mauvais foi wanker.

Though chances are, I am full of crap and he is a wanker.

Ah, not really. But he needs someone to give him a process so he can think out of the box. I'm not kidding.
